L’Oréal Canada wanted to solidify their sustainability engagements and improve the operational efficiency of their print management process. Navigating the requirements of their local and global stakeholders, we launched a cloud-based platform allowing them to get ultra-specific about their business and sustainability KPIs. Today, L’Oréal Canada is able to reach new levels of operational efficiency while upholding CSR commitments.

Challenge accepted

L’Oréal Canada wanted to streamline their print management workflows. They were looking to improve and formalize processes, and have the ability to measure and reduce their environmental impact.

The problem was they didn’t have a simple solution in place to access their operational and sustainability data to optimize their practices as a whole. Their procurement team was using a variety of print production partners, with different lead times, and only had inconsistent, scattered data. They needed a unified solution that could bring it all together, track efficiency metrics consistently across all of their projects, and help them elevate their environmental practices.

Luckily, the L’Oréal Group was using a platform with similar capabilities in other markets. L’Oréal Canada needed a local partner with in-depth knowledge of their needs as well as familiarity with the Canadian print production landscape to localize the platform successfully. Leaning on our existing connections within the L’Oréal Group as one of their global partners for 10+ years, we started working with both their international and Canadian stakeholders.

Problem solved

We onboarded L’Oréal Canada onto the workflow and productivity platform to streamline processes, automate certain tasks, and unify project data and budget tracking, ultimately driving operational utility.

By analyzing L’Oréal Canada’s print procurement ecosystem, our team was able to target strategic areas for improvement and create a roadmap to get L’Oréal where it wanted to be. With a clear picture of the company’s needs and current state, we started designing workflows on the platform to help them increase productivity, reduce time-to-market, and further optimize for efficiency and environmental impact.

To allow for quick costing and shorter lead times, we created a catalogue of print products based on their printing needs current and past.

Today, their teams can now place an order, brief on custom one-off projects, and get support from our team of dedicated project managers and print experts, all through one platform.

The end result is a super-efficient portal that helps them improve the quality of their output and maximize savings while tracking key environmental KPIs, such as waste, carbon footprint, recyclability, and more.

Opportunity unlocked

L'Oréal Canada's new procurement platform has completely transformed their teams’ ways of working and increased their productivity. With comprehensive project performance data, budget tracking, and environmental metrics, they’re actually able to make data-driven decisions. But that’s not all.

Today, L’Oréal Canada has better control and visibility into its print supply chain and production processes than ever before. Day-to-day processes have been streamlined and standardized. And the best part is that they’re just getting started. With clear unified data and streamlined processes that have already yielded print assets in the thousands, L’Oréal is ready to enter the next chapter in its operational efficiency journey.
